Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev has met with participants of the 4th Shusha Global Media Forum, Report‘s correspondent dispatched to Shusha informs.

The meeting took place during a visit to the newly built Karabakh Street in Shusha.

President Ilham Aliyev earlier visited Karabakh Street in Shusha on July 11 to review work carried out under a public-private partnership.

A total of 10 buildings for various purposes have been constructed on the street by local investors under the partnership.

They include a hotel, aparthotels, offices and catering facilities. During construction, special attention was paid not only to quality, but also to ensuring that the buildings fit Shusha’s overall appearance.

The theme of the 4th Shusha Global Media Forum, “The Mission of Media in Promoting Peace: Restoring Truth and Rebuilding Trust,” is very important, Evgenia Drumeva, deputy director of the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA), told Report.

She noted that she had previously taken part in the Shusha Media Forum.

“Today, I visited Karabakh again. It is completely different now. We visited Karabakh Street in Shusha. This place, the buildings, reconstruction and restoration work are magnificent,” Drumeva said.

She stressed the importance of the theme of this year’s forum.

“It is a very important topic. I hope we will hear interesting ideas and speeches at the forum,” she said.
