The Tbilisi Metro and Georgian Railways have resumed operations after a temporary suspension caused by a large-scale power outage earlier this morning, Report‘s Georgia bureau informs.
It was noted that both services have returned to normal schedules, fully restoring passenger service.
Earlier, on July 24, electricity supply in parts of Tbilisi and several regions was briefly halted to eliminate the consequences of an accident. As a result, the metro’s operations were temporarily stopped, and train movements on Georgian Railways were delayed.
The accident occurred around 01:00 a.m. (GMT+4) on July 24, when a failure in Georgia’s energy system caused widespread disruptions in electricity and telecommunications networks across Tbilisi and most regions of the country.

With the approval process for an additional spending package stalled in Congress, the US administration is searching for financial resources to continue military operations against Iran, Report informs, citing Bloomberg.
According to the publication, discussions are underway in Washington on how to secure funding for the operations, as agreement on the new allocation package has faced difficulties. As a result, the White House has been forced to look for alternative ways to obtain the necessary funds.
The outlet noted that US President Donald Trump has made almost no effort to persuade lawmakers to support the allocation of extra financing.
Earlier, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth told the Senate that Washington’s expenditures on the military operation against Iran amount to approximately $37.5 billion.
