Erdoğan invites Mirziyoyev to COP31 in Antalya

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Report informs, citing Türkiye’s Presidential Administration.

The phone call focused on Türkiye-Uzbekistan bilateral relations, as well as regional and global issues.

Erdoğan stressed that cooperation between the two countries is deepening day by day.

The Turkish president said he plans to visit Uzbekistan at the earliest opportunity and expressed hope that the meetings to be held during the visit would help maintain the current momentum in bilateral relations.

Erdoğan recalled that important decisions had been made to strengthen the “Family Council” at the informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States held in Turkistan in May.

He said the aim is to further advance those decisions at the Organization of Turkic States summit to be held in Ankara on October 29-30.

During the conversation, Erdoğan invited Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the 31st session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, COP31, to be held in Antalya on November 11-12. He also congratulated the Uzbek president on his birthday.
