The United States is considering involving several thousand troops in an operation at Iran’s nuclear facilities, Report informs, citing the New York Post.

According to the newspaper, citing sources, US special forces are ready to launch an operation to seize enriched uranium stockpiles at Iran’s fortified nuclear facilities if the relevant order is given. Sources described the possible operation as “the most complex military operation in history.”

The newspaper said thousands of troops could be involved in a ground operation. Their task would be to attack and take control of nuclear facilities, while a small group of special forces would focus on seizing the enriched uranium.

In mid-July, The Wall Street Journal wrote that US President Donald Trump was leaning toward expanding the military campaign against Iran after a series of meetings with his key advisers.

The options under consideration reportedly include intensifying airstrikes on Iranian territory, sending ground forces to seize islands near the Strait of Hormuz, and striking the country’s energy infrastructure.

A Palau-flagged civilian vessel was attacked twice by Russian forces on Saturday while leaving a port in Ukraine’s Odesa region, Report informs.

Ukrainian Restoration, Infrastructure and Transport Minister Nikolay Kalashnik wrote this on Telegram.

“The strikes on the vessel caused a fire. According to preliminary information, seven crew members and a Ukrainian harbor pilot were rescued. Two sailors are currently considered missing. A search and rescue operation is ongoing,” he wrote.

Kalashnik described the attack as a deliberate strike on civilian infrastructure and international shipping.

“Russia continues to show complete disregard for international law, posing a threat to shipping security, global trade and food security,” the minister stressed.

Iran’s Armed Forces have killed more than 200 US service members stationed at American bases in the Middle East after Washington violated the ceasefire, Report informs via Tasnim.

Hossein Mohebbi, a representative of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, IRGC, said this.

“The number of Americans killed during the Victory-2 retaliatory operation exceeds 200, while the number of those wounded is significantly higher,” he said.

Mohebbi said all figures provided by the United States were false and suggested that Washington invite journalists to American bases previously targeted by Iran.
