The United Kingdom formally designated the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the Islamic Movement of Companions of the Right (IMCR), and Russia’s GRU Volunteer Corps as “threats to national security.” The order, laid by the Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood on Monday, took effect today, Friday, the government said, AzerNEWS reports.
Tehran has warned that if US attacks against Iran continue for two to three more days, the country will shift from defensive operations to offensive actions, Mohsen Rezaei, military adviser to Iran”s Supreme Leader, said during a broadcast on Iranian state television, Report informs.
“If US strikes continue for several more days, we will move into a phase of full-scale offensive operations,” said Rezaei, who once served as the head of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards.
“Iran will no longer limit itself to retaliatory, like-for-like responses…and no political border will be safe,” he was quoted as saying by Iran’s news agency IRIB.
Rezaei emphasized that in such a case, Tehran would target not only US bases in the conflict zone but also those located beyond it.
