Cooperation with US President Donald Trump will continue to safeguard peace and stability in the Middle East, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated following a cabinet meeting, Report informs.
Erdoğan noted that the situation in Syria was discussed with Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa.
He also highlighted the importance of Trump’s visit to Türkiye, underlining that collaboration with the US President will remain focused on maintaining peace and stability in the region.
Iran has declared that it carried out drone strikes on US bases in Kuwait.
According to Report, Iran’s state broadcaster IRIB reported the attacks.
The Iranian Army stated that the strikes targeted communication systems, fuel reserves, Patriot air defense systems, watchtowers, and ammunition depots.
Meanwhile, the US Armed Forces had launched new attacks on Iranian targets earlier this week.
The devastating earthquakes in Venezuela have claimed 4,561 lives and left 16,740 injured, according to updated figures presented by Jorge Rodríguez, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Bolivarian Republic, Report informs.
Rodríguez stated that 17,907 people have been left homeless, with 190 buildings completely destroyed and 856 severely damaged.
He added that search and rescue operations have saved 6,462 individuals, while 33,085 people have received medical treatment. Aid has been provided to 128,324 families, with 20,231 people housed in 107 temporary camps, and 10,063 tons of food distributed to those affected, the speaker noted.
The disaster struck on the night of June 25, when two powerful quakes of 7.2 and 7.5 magnitude hit northern Venezuela just 39 seconds apart. The UN Development Programme has estimated the damage at approximately $6.7 billion.
Rescue operations are still ongoing.
