During the protest rally in front of the Ararat brandy-wine-vodka plant, owned by Gagik Tsarukyan, leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party, one of the plant’s employees told journalists that hundreds of people have found themselves in a difficult social situation due to the current circumstances.
According to the participant, she, like many of her colleagues, relies entirely on her salary to cover monthly living expenses, including rent and loan payments.
“We’ve never seen anything bad from our management or from Mr. Tsarukyan, I was very well received. We’ve been sitting at home for a week now. I live in a rented apartment, I have loans and debts. Will the government take care of our problems? How am I supposed to pay rent if there’s no work?” she said.
