On May 17, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Prime Minister of the Punjab Province of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, AzerNEWS reports.

Guliyev noted that for Azerbaijan, hosting WUF13 is both “a privilege and a profound responsibility,” stressing that Baku has become a global platform marking ten years since the adoption of the New Urban Agenda and the midpoint of its implementation journey.

The “Ministerial Meeting on the New Urban Agenda (NUA) – Opening Session” is being held in Baku as part of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum 13, AzerNEWS reports.
