The European Union Aviation Safety Agency is recommending that airlines not operate within Jordanian airspace, as the kingdom is increasingly targeted by Iranian missiles and drones, Report informs via Reuters.
“Since the middle of July 2026, the security situation has deteriorated rapidly, with a sustained increase in kinetic military activity affecting Jordanian airspace,” EASA says in a statement.
EASA already suggests that airlines avoid the airspace of Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Iran, Iraq and Lebanon.
