U.S. President Donald Trump says Washington will stop providing Israel with $4 billion in annual funding by the end of this year, following an agreement with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Speaking to Fox News, Trump said Israel no longer needed the financial support, but added that the U.S. would assist the country if necessary.
The remarks come amid declining public support for Israel in the United States, with opinion polls pointing to the impact of the war in Gaza.
