Iran’s armed forces said they carried out a series of missile and drone strikes targeting American military facilities in Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Qatar in response to recent US attacks, according to Iran’s state-affiliated Press TV.
The report said Iranian drones targeted a Patriot air defense system, an ammunition depot, and a US military radar installation in Kuwait. Another wave of drones allegedly struck a communications center and a military radar site in Bahrain.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) also claimed it had attacked the Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, which is used by US forces. According to the IRGC, the strike hit a fighter aircraft maintenance area and a command center.
The IRGC further claimed that a missile strike targeted the Prince Hassan Air Base in Jordan, alleging that the attack hit military infrastructure, including a command-and-control center and hangars used for MQ-9 Reaper drones.
In a separate statement, the IRGC said Iranian forces had also struck a second vessel in the Strait of Hormuz that it alleged had violated maritime regulations.
