Garapirá Pataxó, a leader from the Pataxó people of Bahia, is here to raise awareness about Brazil’s diverse biomes. He stresses that while attention is focused on the Amazon, biomes like the Caatinga, Cerrado, and Pantanal are also under threat and deserve protection. At COP30, he proudly represents his people, advocating for a more inclusive environmental approach.
