The UK government will provide £17 million ($22.45 million) intended to fund repairs at Ukraine’s Chornobyl nuclear power plant, which was damaged by a Russian drone strike last year.

The funding, which forms part of an international program coordinated by European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, will support repairs to restore the plant’s confinement and ventilation functions and help protect its intended lifespan.
