Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa has called for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Golan Heights and reaffirmed Syria’s commitment to the 1974 disengagement agreement during his address to the UN General Assembly. Al-Sharaa said Syria rejects attempts to impose a new reality on the ground and accused Israel of undermining regional peace and security through continued military actions.
