The Democratic victory in the 2026 US midterm elections has triggered a striking repricing across global markets. On November 4, the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained about 3%, the S&P 500 rose 1.6% and the Nasdaq advanced 1.4%. Gold recovered above $4,000 an ounce, while crude oil fell nearly 9% in one session. The moves link political change with inflation, interest rates and energy security.
