Azerbaijan and Colombia have signed an agreement on mutual visa exemption for holders of ordinary passports.
According to Report, citing Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the agreement was signed following a meeting between Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Colombian Foreign Minister Omar Bula Escobar on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.
The ministers discussed the current state and prospects of Azerbaijan-Colombia relations, emphasizing the importance of further strengthening political dialogue and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation.
They also explored opportunities to develop economic ties, tourism, education and cultural cooperation.
The sides exchanged views on cooperation within multilateral platforms, including the United Nations, as well as regional and international developments and other issues of mutual interest.
The ministry said the visa exemption agreement would further strengthen the legal and institutional framework of relations between Azerbaijan and Colombia.

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Hungarian Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Anita Orbán on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
According to Report, citing Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the sides discussed the current state and prospects of Azerbaijan-Hungary relations.
They emphasized the importance of maintaining regular political dialogue and also exchanged views on Azerbaijan-EU relations.
Regional and international developments were also discussed during the meeting.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
According to Report, citing Türkiye’s Directorate of Communications, the sides discussed Türkiye-UK bilateral relations, as well as regional and global issues.
Erdoğan said relations between Türkiye and the United Kingdom were developing across all areas and expressed confidence that cooperation would expand further, particularly through steps in the defense industry and trade.
The Turkish president said Israel had repeatedly demonstrated through its actions that it did not want peace in Gaza or the West Bank and stressed the importance of pressure from the international community.
Erdoğan also noted rising tensions in Iran and Ukraine. He said reaching an agreement on the Strait of Hormuz issue could pave the way for the resumption of negotiations.
Turning to Ukraine, Erdoğan said there had been no progress and noted that attacks on Turkish or foreign commercial vessels in the Black Sea were further complicating the situation.
He also said no formula on Cyprus could succeed unless the sovereign equality and international status of Turkish Cypriots on the island were recognized.
