Morocco has appointed its first woman prime minister, with King Mohammed VI naming Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri to lead the government after her Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) won the most seats in last week’s parliamentary election.
Calling it a “historic moment,” El Mansouri said the appointment was a source of pride for women across Morocco.
