One person was killed and 13 others were injured in Russia’s Rostov-on-Don due to severe weather conditions, Report informs.
Alexander Skryabin, head of the city administration, said this on social media.
“Unfortunately, the bad weather brought not only destruction: 13 people were injured, seven of them were hospitalized, and one person died,” he wrote.
About 100 incidents were recorded as a result of heavy rain and squally winds. Rescue teams worked throughout the night to deal with the aftermath of the severe weather.
“The consequences of 26 incidents have been eliminated, while 73 incidents remain under control. The area is being cleared,” Skryabin wrote.
He added that water supply in the city had been fully restored, while electricity supply had not yet been fully restored.
Storm winds, thunderstorms and heavy rain hit Russia’s Rostov region on Saturday evening. The severe weather caused disruptions to essential services.
