On May 9, on the occasion of anniversary of the Victory over fascism in the Great Patriotic War, a group of servicemen from the Defense Ministry visited the monument to twice Hero of the Soviet Union, Major General Hazi Aslanov and laid wreaths and flowers.
As part of the commemorative ceremonies held in Baku, the monuments of Mehdi Huseynzade, Richard Zorge, Gafur Mammadov and the Brotherhood Cemetery were also visited.
Moreover, military units held events on the occasion of 9 May – Victory Day.
During the events, the valor of the brave Heroes of Azerbaijan, who performed unparalleled heroism in the Great Patriotic War, was talked about, and their bright memory was commemorated with deep respect and reverence.
