Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez said Spain would “get to the bottom” of the latest rail disaster and promised that any negligence or failures in the safety system would be exposed and addressed.
He described two deadly high-speed rail crashes in a single year as “unacceptable” and said safety measures would be strengthened if necessary to restore public confidence in the network.
