Georgia nearly triples earnings from sheep exports to Azerbaijan

In January–June 2026, Georgia exported live sheep worth $1.3 million to Azerbaijan, Report informs, referring to the National Statistics Office of Georgia.

According to the obtained data, this figure is 2.5 times higher than in the same period of 2025. As a result, Azerbaijan ranked third among countries importing sheep from Georgia.

During the first six months of 2026, Georgia exported sheep worth $11.7 million to foreign markets – nearly three times more than a year earlier.

Breakdown of exports in the reporting period: Saudi Arabia – $5.6 million, Qatar – $1.8 million, Libya – $1 million, Kuwait – $1 million.
