– The decrees, or statements made after taking office, have several directions. Let’s focus on the Chinese one, expressed in TikTok’s closure in the US. This was a message to China and the international community. This is a signal for a new phase of economic war. The statement regarding Ukraine is mixed. It is said that there should be peace, but sanctions will be tightened if Russia does not accept the decision to negotiate. And the statements made regarding Panama or Canada are declarative. Nevertheless, they are approaches that express a change in style or the unipolarization of the world order.

– Can we witness a cessation of military operations on the Russian-Ukrainian front in the coming months?

– There will not be a sharp turn in the short term. The reciprocal conditions are many and complex. There will be ups and downs, but a general cessation of military clashes is not yet visible. The rules of the game specified by the US will not be easy for the Russian side to accept. However, the escalation of relations with China may push Ukraine into the background. The general trends will continue in both directions.

– US Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. They discussed establishing stable and dignified peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan. What does this mean?

This means that the US perceives Turkey as the main factor in this process, especially in terms of continuing its influence on Azerbaijan. The second point to comment on is that Turkey, instead of Russia, can influence the process. The silent sub-message is that Washington will work on the Armenian side, especially after signing the latest agreement. Overall, the US-Ankara line will sponsor the settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict.

– The Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Sergey Shoigu, has also stated that the risk of a clash between nuclear powers is increasing in the world. What is Moscow hinting at?

– This is another hint of the use of nuclear weapons by Moscow. The appearance of NATO forces in the regions adjacent to Russia, the military events in Ukraine, and the geopolitical drive to expel the Russian factor from the South Caucasus are the prerequisites for Moscow’s threats.
