Israeli defence forces reportedly carried out massive airstrikes on Syria on August 23, a day after Turkey and Russia resumed joint patrols in the north-eastern part of the country. According to the Times of Israel report, the Syrian defence ministry said IDF targeted several military sites, injuring seven civilians. A UK-based war monitor reported that Israel targeted the Hezbollah militant group and killed three Iran-backed fighters.
