The roof of a four-storey commercial building collapsed in São Paulo’s Brás neighbourhood on Friday, injuring four people, according to local authorities. A fire department spokesperson said 35 people were inside the building at the time of the collapse and all were rescued. The four injured people were taken to hospital and are in stable condition. Around 20 people had initially been trapped in a room that remained intact, according to preliminary information from the government. Images from local media showed much of the structure behind the building’s front section had collapsed.
