Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says Tehran remains committed to diplomacy with Washington, despite the U.S.’s rejection of Iran’s roadmap for reopening the Strait of Hormuz. In an interview with the U.S. television programme ‘Meet the Press’, Araghchi said he and President Masoud Pezeshkian came to New York “to forge peace”, adding that Iran remains ready for “real diplomacy” while remaining prepared to respond to any aggression.
