Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with North Cyprus Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertugruloglu on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.
According to Report, citing the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ministers exchanged views on bilateral relations, as well as important issues related to dialogue within multilateral formats.
During the discussions, the importance of North Cyprus’ observer status in the Organization of Turkic States was emphasized, along with the need to expand multilateral coordination and joint initiatives within the Turkic world, including preparations for the upcoming OTS Summit.
The ministers also discussed regional issues of mutual interest.
