U.S. President Donald Trump met with leaders of Middle Eastern countries including Türkiye, Syria, Egypt, the Gulf countries and others on Tuesday, 22 September. Trump said special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner had met with mediators on a possible deal to end the Iran conflict while adding that the country’s Pickaxe mountain could still be bombed.
Iranian officials are in New York for the General Assembly with President Masoud Pezeshkian due to give a speech on Wednesday.
