Nearly 1,000 swimmers took part in the 34th annual Swim Across America Long Island Sound event, raising more than $2.5 million for cancer research. Participants completed open-water crossings and shoreline races across Long Island Sound, while hundreds more joined pool swims across New York’s Westchester County. The event drew around 2,000 spectators, with proceeds supporting leading cancer research institutions. Since its launch in 1987, Swim Across America has raised more than $150 million for cancer research nationwide.
