Putin: BRICS Nations Account for 37.4% of Global GDP, Set to Expand Further

During a plenary session at the BRICS Business Forum, Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized the bloc’s critical role in driving global economic growth. He stated that BRICS countries now represent 37.4% of global GDP, surpassing the G7’s 29.3%, with the gap expected to widen.

Putin noted that BRICS is becoming increasingly self-sufficient, developing platforms for communication, technology, and finance to reduce reliance on external influences. He stressed that the bloc’s initiatives focus on sustainable development and prosperity for its member nations, positioning BRICS as a partnership of self-sufficient economies.
