Russia and Ukraine have agreed to carry out regular humanitarian missions to Russian-occupied Oleshky, according to Russia’s human rights commissioner, Yana Lantratova.
The announcement follows an operation that delivered aid and evacuated residents during a local ceasefire. Evacuees reached Ukrainian-controlled territory in Chernihiv region on Saturday.
Residents who remain in the frontline town face severe shortages of food, medicine and other essentials.
