Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthis have denied targeting Mecca and Medina after Saudi Arabia reported intercepting missiles fired toward the two regions.
While the Houthis maintained that their strikes focused on Saudi oil infrastructure, airports, and military installations, the Saudi-led coalition said it shot down two ballistic missiles over Yanbu and Taif.
Saudi Civil Defense confirmed that falling debris landed in the Mecca and Medina areas. Authorities have not verified whether any targets were successfully hit.
