Romanian F-16 fighter jets shot down two drones over the country’s territorial waters in the Black Sea on Saturday, Romania’s Defence Ministry said. The aircraft were scrambled from Borcea Air Base after radar systems detected aerial targets about 120 kilometres east of Snake Island, heading southwest. The incident comes days after two chemical tankers were hit by drones near Romania’s Black Sea coast.
