U.S. President Donald Trump has called for Ukraine to get a new president, saying Volodymyr Zelenskyy has failed to reach a deal to end the war with Russia. Trump also criticised Ukraine’s attacks on Russian oil refineries, arguing they were contributing to global diesel supply problems. His comments came a day after he announced a diesel supply deal with Russian President Vladimir Putin, which Zelenskyy criticised following a deadly Russian strike on Zaporizhzhia. The remarks mark some of Trump’s strongest criticism yet of Zelenskyy as Washington continues to push for an end to the war.
