Iranian Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad has stepped down from the position which he has held since August 2024. No reason was given for the resignation, which comes as Iran’s economy faces pressure from the seven-month war with the United States. National Iranian Oil Company chief Hamid Bovard has been appointed acting minister according to state media reports.
