Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has dismissed Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi. Reportedly, Major General Mykhailo Drapatyi was appointed to lead the country’s armed forces. The announcement comes days after the surprise dismissal of Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, which sparked a political crisis. The Ukrainian President said he has offered Fedorov a new role overseeing the state’s technological development.
