Drone collides with JetBlue aircraft, FAA reports

The pilot of the Airbus A321, which had departed from Las Vegas, reported the strike at approximately 3,000 feet altitude while on final approach, the FAA said, News.Az reports, citing The Jerusalem Post.
***
The incident happened around 7:15 a.m. EDT, according to the agency.
“The flight landed without incident, customers deplaned normally, and the plane was removed from service for a post-flight inspection, which found no damage or evidence of a collision,” the airline said.
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which manages John F. Kennedy International Airport, was not immediately available for comment.
Monday’s incident comes days after a United Airlines flight encountered a drone during its descent into Newark Liberty International Airport – another New York City-area airport – on Friday, according to media reports.
FAA advises drones not fly near airports
Drones should not fly near airports, according to an FAA advisory, which warns that it would be difficult for pilots to see and avoid drones while flying.
The FAA said it receives more than 100 drone-sighting reports near airports monthly. It warned that unauthorized drone operators could face fines or jail time.
“We want to send a clear message that operating drones around airplanes, helicopters, and airports is dangerous and illegal,” the FAA said.

Trump says he likes Musk despite their public spat

US President Donald Trump has assured that he has a good attitude towards Elon Musk, despite the exchange of harsh statements between them in early June.
As reported by APA with reference to TASS, the American leader stated this in an interview with the Fox News channel
“I think he’s a great guy,” Trump said of Musk, who previously oversaw the federal government’s Office of Government Efficiency (DOGE). “I haven’t talked to him too much. But I think Elon’s a great guy. I know he’s always going to be fine,” Trump said when asked if he had spoken to Musk recently.
“He’s a smart guy. He campaigned with me,” Trump added. “But he was a little upset. It was inappropriate.” According to the American leader, Musk was unhappy that the current administration had not taken steps to promote the spread of electric cars in the United States. Musk’s company Tesla produces electric cars.
“I’m not trying to make sure that everybody has an electric car,” Trump added. He explained that even during the election campaign he advocated for Americans to have a choice between buying traditional cars or electric cars.
“I like electric cars. I like his cars (produced by Tesla – TASS note). I think he [Musk] is great,” the head of the Washington administration emphasized. At the same time, he added that not everyone likes electric cars, and they should not be imposed.

Massive Apple leak exposes iPhone 18 Pro parts and photos

The ransomware group “World Leaks” posted a massive trove of over 200,000 files online. Among the leaked data are at least six files explicitly mapping out the iPhone 18 Pro’s internal components to their specific global manufacturers—including main circuit board chips, battery components, and camera parts. The leak also features internal, confidential Apple-watermarked photos from early 2026 showing the unreleased grey, three-camera handset undergoing drop tests at a Tata facility, News.Az reports, citing Reuters.
The exposure threatens to disrupt Apple’s fiercely guarded supply chain network and hand an unprecedented blueprint to competitors and counterfeiters. The breach lays bare exactly where Apple relies on single-source suppliers versus where it holds bargaining leverage.
***
The security failure comes at a crucial moment for both companies. Apple is currently relying on Tata to aggressively diversify its manufacturing footprint outside of China; India is currently on track to produce 26% of the world’s iPhones this year.
Apple is reportedly investigating the breach alongside Tata, which has since restricted internal system access and hired a global consulting firm to conduct a forensic audit. Neither Apple nor Tata have officially commented on the leak.
