Alan Gagloev, de facto leader of the occupied Tskhinvali/South Ossetia region, dismissed the de facto government under a January 21 decree.
The decree removed de facto Prime Minister Konstantin Jussoev from office, citing his resignation letter, and appointed Dzambolat Tadtayev as acting de facto prime minister. It also ordered current de facto government members to continue their duties until a new de facto cabinet is formed.
No official reason was given for Jussoev’s removal, but Telegram channels suggested it may be linked to alleged misuse of Russian aid and a troubled socio-economic program.
