Rafael Agayev, a well-known karate player of Azerbaijan, who is in the Guinness Book of Records, will get 50,000 dollars a year, according to Azerbaijan in Focus, reporting Qafqazinfo, citing the athlete.
Speaking on the “Motivator Sports” yutub channel, R. Agayev said that he will receive this amount until the record is broken: “Probably, this will not be possible in the next 6 years. After that, someone can break my record. But until that time, I will receive the said amount.”
It should be noted that Rafael Agayev entered the “Guinness Book of Records” as the athlete who won the most world champions in individual competitions.
The athlete was a 5-time world champion in individual karate (Kumite) in 2006-2016.
Agayev won two championships in the 70kg category (2006 and 2008), two championships in the 75kg category (2010 and 2016) and one open championship (2008) in karate. He also won a total of nine world championship medals, including two silver and two bronze.
