Azerbaijani tenor Rashid Behbudov was the first singer to be recognized as a Hero of Socialist Labor.
Following military service, Behbudov joined the Tbilisi pop group as a soloist and later became a member of the State Yerevan Jazz.
In 1943, the film “Arshin Mal Alan” was produced. This comedic masterpiece, brimming with humor and melodious songs, has earned its place in the golden collection, with Rashid Behbudov playing the lead role in this musical comedy.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has sent a letter of condolences to Emir of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Meshal al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah over the death of his brother, according to Azerbaijan in Focus, reporting Trend.
