Командующий ВМС Азербайджана вице-адмирал Субхан Бекиров встретился с командующим ВМС Армии Исламской Республики Иран контр-адмиралом Шахрамом Ирани, находящимся с визитом в нашей стране.
Сначала состоялась торжественная церемония встречи. Гость прошел перед почетным караулом, прозвучали государственные гимны обеих стран.
Были возложены цветы к памятнику общенациональному лидеру Гейдару Алиеву, воздвигнутому на территории штаба ВМС, почтена его светлая память.
Затем в соответствии с протоколом была оставлена памятная запись в «Книге почетных гостей».
На встрече, состоявшейся в здании штаба ВМС, были обсуждены перспективы развития военного сотрудничества между военными моряками Азербайджана и Ирана. Была особо отмечена важность проведения совместных учений на Каспийском море в целях повышения профессионализма военнослужащих и обмена опытом. На встрече также состоялся подробный обмен мнениями по ряду вопросов, представляющих взаимный интерес.
На встрече иранской делегации был представлен брифинг о ВМС Азербайджана.
В заключение состоялась церемония взаимного вручения подарков, было сделано фото на память.
В Баку состоялась встреча командующих ВМС Азербайджана и Ирана
Commander of the Azerbaijan Naval Forces, Vice Admiral Subhan Bakirov met with the Chief of the Navy of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Rear Admiral Shahram Irani, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan.
An official welcoming ceremony was held. The guest passed along the guard of honor and the national anthems of both countries were performed.
Flowers were laid at the monument of National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the territory of Naval Forces headquarters, and his bright memory was honored.
The “Book of Honor” was signed by the protocol.
The prospects for the development of cooperation between Azerbaijani-Iranian naval sailors were discussed at the meeting held in the headquarters building of the Azerbaijan Naval Forces. The importance of conducting joint exercises in the Caspian Sea to increase the professionalism of military personnel, as well as to exchange mutual experience, was emphasized. In the meeting, detailed views were exchanged on several issues of mutual interest.
During the meeting, the Iranian delegation was presented with a briefing on Azerbaijan Naval Forces.
At the end, the sides exchanged presents and a photo was taken.

Görüşdən əvvəl təntənəli qarşılanma mərasimi keçirilib. Qonaq fəxri qarovul dəstəsinin önündən keçib, hər iki ölkənin Dövlət himnləri səsləndirilib.
Ümummilli Lider Heydər Əliyevin HDQ qərargahının ərazisində ucaldılan abidəsi önünə gül dəstələri düzülüb, xatirəsi ehtiramla yad edilib.
Sonra protokola uyğun olaraq “Şərəf kitabı” imzalanıb.
HDQ-nin qərargah binasında keçirilən görüşdə Azərbaycan-İran hərbi dənizçiləri arasında əməkdaşlığın inkişaf perspektivləri müzakirə olunub. Hərbi qulluqçuların peşəkarlığının artırılması, eləcə də qarşılıqlı təcrübə mübadiləsi məqsədilə Xəzər dənizində birgə təlimlərin keçirilməsinin vacibliyi xüsusi qeyd olunub. Görüşdə, həmçinin qarşılıqlı maraq doğuran bir sıra məsələlərə dair ətraflı fikir mübadiləsi aparılıb.
Görüş zamanı İran nümayəndə heyətinə Azərbaycan HDQ haqqında brifinq təqdim edilib.

Sanaa and northern Yemeni regions are under the control of the Iran-aligned Houthi group, which has been at war since 2014 with a Saudi-backed government that is based in the southern port city of Aden.
The fighting has abated over the last two years, easing what the United Nations has described as the world’s worst humanitarian crisis. However, millions still rely on direct humanitarian aid.
The WFP said the decision was taken in consultation with donors and comes after a year of negotiations and no agreement had been reached to reduce the number of people served to 6.5 million from 9.5 million.
Food stocks in the areas under the Houthi administration are almost depleted and resuming food assistance could take up to four months due to disruption of the supply chain, the U.N. agency said in a statement.
There was no immediate comment from Houthi officials.
The WFP had already reduced rations in Yemen since 2022 due to critical funding gaps and global inflation that followed Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
The agency said it would continue other programs, including nutrition and school feeding programs to limit the impact of the decision.
General food distribution would continue with a focus on the neediest in the areas controlled by the Saudi-backed government, it said.
