China Ready to Advance Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Peru to New Heights


Chinese President Xi Jinping announced that China is prepared to elevate its comprehensive strategic partnership with Peru to unprecedented levels. This statement was made during a meeting with Peruvian President Dina Ercilia Boluarte Zegarra, who is currently on a state visit to China.

President Xi emphasized the historical ties between the two nations, highlighting Peru as one of the first Latin American countries to establish diplomatic relations and a comprehensive strategic partnership with China. He noted the fruitful outcomes of bilateral cooperation in various fields, including economic development and the improvement of people’s livelihoods through major cooperation projects.

China aims to consolidate political mutual trust, deepen practical cooperation, and promote mutual learning between civilizations. The two leaders discussed enhancing multilateral coordination and advancing the comprehensive strategic partnership to new heights. President Xi also voiced active support for the success of this year’s Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders’ Meeting, which will be hosted by Peru.

The meeting underscored China’s commitment to supporting Peru’s development path and expanding cooperation in emerging fields such as new energy, digital economy, artificial intelligence, and digital healthcare. President Xi expressed China’s willingness to welcome more high-quality Peruvian products into the Chinese market and called for a sound legal and policy environment for Chinese investment in Peru.
