The ongoing war between Israel and Hamas has taken a heavy toll on the civilian population of Gaza, especially children. According to the Palestine Health authorities, more than 14,500 people have been killed in Gaza, including about 6,000 children and 4,000 women.
The war has also left thousands of children traumatized, orphaned, displaced, and in need of urgent medical and psychological care. The World Health Organization (WHO) has warned that the health system in Gaza is on the verge of collapse, with shortages of medicines, equipment, and staff.
