Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi blamed the United States for insecurity in the region on Monday, 19 October 2026, at a joint news conference with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Tehran. Araghchi said there was no military solution to the region’s problems and called for countries in the region to build their own security framework without the presence of foreign forces.
