Irena Kucina, the president of the Constitutional Court of Latvia, has praised the reforms being implemented in Azerbaijan’s judicial system, Report informs referring to the Supreme Court.
She made the statement during a meeting with Supreme Court Chairperson Inam Karimov during a visit to Azerbaijan.
At the meeting, Karimov emphasized that bilateral relations between Latvia and Azerbaijan are developing steadily.
During the meeting, the guests were provided with detailed information on reforms to improve Azerbaijan’s judicial system and efforts in the area of digital transformation.
It was noted that the use of modern information technology in the judicial system is expanding, judicial selection procedures are being brought into line with international standards, and the legislative framework is constantly being improved.
It was also noted that the introduction of artificial intelligence and other innovative digital solutions to enhance judicial efficiency serves to improve the quality of judicial services.
Kucina emphasized the importance of further developing cooperation between the two countries in the judicial and legal spheres.
She highly praised the reforms carried out in the judicial system of Azerbaijan and the successes achieved.
