Denmark and Iceland rejected renewed U.S. claims over Greenland at the NATO summit, reaffirming that Greenland’s future must be decided by its own people.

The Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen the Prime Minister of Iceland Kristrún Frostadóttir stressed the principles of sovereignty and self-determination after U.S. President Donald Trump repeated his call for U.S. control of the Arctic island.
