Masoud Pezeshkian, a reformist and former minister of health, won in the second round of the extraordinary presidential elections held in Iran.

“Masoud Pezeshkian received 16 million 384 thousand 403 votes, and Saeed Jalili received 13 million 538 thousand 179 votes,” said Mohsen Eslami, the head of the Electoral Commission of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Iran, according to the SNN agency.

In general, 30 million 573 thousand 931 people participated in the voting, 49.8 percent of voters in Iran.
