President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulatory letter to President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of the Republic of the Sudan, Azernews reports.

SOFAZ noted that the recent visit of a delegation led by Executive Director Israfil Mammadov to Saudi Arabia was significant for exploring new markets and partnership opportunities, identifying areas of mutual interest, and establishing an institutional dialogue for future cooperation. Such engagements, the Fund emphasized, play an important role in broadening SOFAZ’s international investment geography and shaping projects of long-term strategic importance.

Overall, the data highlight the continued expansion of digital banking in Azerbaijan, with mobile banking in particular gaining momentum, even as the total value of internet banking transactions experienced a relative slowdown during the reporting month.

Improving the regulatory environment, expanding state support for innovation, and strengthening cooperation with financial institutions and banks are identified as the main conditions for Azerbaijan’s fintech ecosystem to move to a new stage of development.
