Azerbaijan’s national mobile electronic identification system, “Asan İmza,” allows the country to save funds equivalent to around 2% of GDP each year, according to a report by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Azernews reports.

The Milli Majlis has ratified an agreement between Azerbaijan and Somalia on the mutual exemption from visa requirements for holders of diplomatic passports, Azernews reports.

Somalia has expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for its principled position in support of the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Azerbaijan’s non-oil exports increased by 7.3% year-on-year in January–November, reaching $3.3 billion, according to official data. During the same period, exports of food products rose sharply by 19.4% to $1.1 billion.

The international congress reaffirmed Moscow’s status as a global center of expertise in business tourism, bringing together professionals from 37 BRICS and Global South countries. The event welcomed nearly twice as many participants as last year — a total of 2,500 industry specialists. Its diverse program covered topics such as successful MICE destinations, the effectiveness of business events, the future of neurotechnologies and the experience economy, while also enabling a record number of business meetings, Azernews reports.
