SOCAR and Hungary’s MOL Group have signed a Production Sharing Agreement (PSA) for exploration and production activities in Azerbaijan’s Shamakhi-Gobustan area.

Turkish firms have invested in logistics, infrastructure, and technology transfer in Azerbaijan, supporting the growth of local industries. Likewise, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are now exploring deeper trade engagement, particularly in sectors such as agricultural machinery, food products, and construction materials. Turkmenistan’s consistent appearances in the top ten indicate the potential for further growth, particularly in textiles, energy services, and industrial equipment.

Minister of Finance Sahil Babayev has met with Ms Vladanka Andreeva, Resident Coordinator of the United Nations Mission in Azerbaijan, on the occasion of the completion of her term of office, Azernews reports.

As a result, trade with CIS partners accounted for 15.21 percent of Azerbaijan’s total foreign trade turnover in the first eleven months of the year.
