Azerbaijan and Brazil are working with other countries to mobilize $1.3 trillion annually to combat climate change, according to Mukhtar Babayev, the President’s Special Representative on Climate Issues and President of COP29, Azernews reports.

Representatives from the state commissions on missing persons of Azerbaijan and Armenia have held another meeting to address humanitarian concerns related to individuals who went missing during the conflict between the two countries, Azernews reports.

Chief Auditor Tsotne Kavlashvili has left office and is poised to be appointed deputy finance minister under the ruling Georgian Dream government.

The government administration confirmed Kavlashvili’s resignation to Civil.ge on June 3, following a report by the pro-government channel Rustavi 2 that he had submitted his resignation request to GD parliament speaker Shalva Papuashvili.

Kavlashvili was approved by Parliament in September 2022 as Chief Auditor for a five-year term. The reasons for his early departure are unknown. His relocation comes amid ongoing reshuffles within the Georgian Dream.

He previously served as deputy finance minister from 2015 to 2022 and has held various positions at the Finance Ministry since 2006. Kavlashvili holds a master’s degree in economics and business from Tbilisi State University.

In accordance with the “Individual Partnership Cooperation Programme” between the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Azerbaijan and NATO for 2025, a training session on “Operational Planning Process” is being held in cooperation with the Mobile Training Team from the Allied Joint Force Command Brunssum, located in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Azernews reports, citing the Ministry of Defence.

The price of Azerbaijan’s “Azeri Light” crude oil, based on the CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) delivery terms at Italy’s Port of Augusta, rose by $1.05 or 1.53% compared to the previous figure, reaching $69.87 per barrel, Azernews reports.
